MARKET RESEARCH

Market research has always been a passion of mine. I love using both qualitative and quantitative research to more deeply understand the wants and needs of consumers.

I want my clients to be able to stop using the term "anecdotally" when they talk about their customers and their market. My goal is to help my clients feel truly confident about their customer and market environment knowledge.

Qualitative research is the "softer" side of research - focus groups, semi-structured interviews, personal interviews. Qualitative research provides the opportunity to dive deep with customers to understand their wants and needs. I'm a trained focus group moderator/interviewer. I've moderated hundreds of focus groups and personal interviews, working with start-up companies, non-profit organizations, and large corporations.

Quantitative research - most often survey research - provides statistically representative data for a company. Surveys are an extremely useful tool to obtain a clear picture of a company's current or potential consumers: their interest, preferences, opinions, etc. While years ago I conducted mail and phone surveys, virtually all of the survey work I do now is online.

I have over 35 years of survey research experience covering subjects as diverse as software, eggs, and Bibles.

• includes focus groups, personal interviews, semi-structured interviews, and small sample surveys. Qualitative research is exploratory and is used to gain in-depth insights into what people do and where, when, and why they do it.

About JET Marketing

JET Marketing is owned by Jeannette E. Taylor.

Since 1994, as owner of JET Marketing and previously as co-owner of Alliance Marketing, Jeannette has provided strategic marketing solutions to clients.

Earlier in her career, Jeannette held several management positions at the Zondervan Corporation. While General Manager of Bibles at Zondervan in the late 80's & early 90's, division revenues grew by 53% over a four-year period with profits increasing by 121%.

Later, as Vice-President of Marketing at Zondervan, Jeannette was responsible for managing all market research, market strategy, graphic design, advertising, and media relations for six diverse product groups.

Since 1994, in addition to her strategic consulting work, Jeannette has been an Adjunct Professor at both Calvin College and Cornerstone University, teaching courses in marketing, applied research, and strategic management.
